Who We Are Looking For

Artists should be dynamic movers, open-minded, collaborative, community-oriented, and ready to show up entirely to the work and creative process. Due to the topics that the choreography covers, artists should respect and be ready to explore themes like societal expectations of women, mental health, parenthood, world issues, personal narratives, and more. Artists should connect with ARD’s mission and core values and desire to help study and shape them as we evolve together as a group. Artists must be available for rehearsals Tuesdays and Fridays between 11am - 4pm, and will be included in numerous performances, workshops, residencies, tours (nationally and internationally), and cultivating events. Teaching is a plus. Artists may be asked to rehearse and perform in both Jersey City, NJ and New York City regularly and participate or join an ARD committee or our DEI book group. Artists may be invited to learn repertoire from a video before being assisted by other company members or Artistic Director. Ariel Rivka Dance works with its artists to manage their outside responsibilities such as work, other company commitments, family obligations, and more.

  • ARD expects to tour internationally for the 2025 season, perform domestically in NY and NJ, including a gala and their Spring Season for 2026. Rehearsals and Performances are paid with possible teaching opportunities.
