Professional Virtual Workshop Presented by Peridance

Led by dancers from Ariel Rivka Dance, this intermediate/advanced repertory workshop will begin with an abbreviated contemporary class, followed by an exploration of existing Ariel Rivka Dance repertory. Ariel’s style blends both classical ballet and modern elements in a fluid, athletic and technically challenging form. She is fascinated and inspired by watching classically trained dancers explore unrefined emotions and movements in an organized structure. Musicality is paramount to Ariel’s work, and the company is fortunate to perform to live music composed by Executive Director and Resident Composer David Homan. With each work, Ariel challenges herself to explore movements and choreographic devices that are outside her comfort zone, in turn challenging her dancers to embody new concepts, vocabularies and emotional expressions.
